What happens during a check-up?

During your appointment, you’ll sit comfortably in the chair while we examine your teeth for cavities, plaque, and signs of inflammation. If you have crowns or fillings, the dentist will check whether they are still in good condition. If not, we’ll schedule a follow-up treatment. ..

We also regularly take X-rays of your teeth. These allow the dentist to spot irregularities at an early stage. By comparing the new images with previous ones, we get a clear view of the position of your teeth and jawbone, and we can see if wisdom teeth are coming through.

Visiting the dentist twice a year

Routine check-ups are most effective when you come twice a year. If there is a problem, we can act quickly and prevent it from getting worse. These check-ups are also a chance to discuss your oral care habits. The dentist will give you tailored advice and, if needed, make recommendations to improve your dental care routine.

An example would be the dentist referring you to the dental hygienist for a gum treatment. .
